MINNEAPOLIS– City & County Credit Union here has completed an innovative retail facility it says is “relationship-centered.” The project was overseen by NewGround, which said the facility, at less than 3,500 square feet, is markedly smaller than traditional branches, and its interior design creates a new type of member-focused retail environment.
“Gone is the teller line. Instead, a concierge positioned near the entrance greets members and provides assistance as needed, Newground said. “Comfortable furniture and an inviting layout encourage conversations with member service consultants. Smart, member-friendly technology is integrated into the design, including a personal device bar to introduce and acquaint members to mobile and tablet banking services. The facility also features free Wi-Fi and phone charging stations for members. Additionally, private offices equipped with videoconferencing capabilities, provide members with access to remote financial services experts.”
The building’s exterior uses eye-catching pink lighting, designed to provide the building with an inviting glow and to leverage its high-visibility location right off the highway.
“This City & County building is a great example of a member-focused, new model branch,” explains NewGround CEO Kevin Blair. “Every aspect of the facility -- size, look, and feel – comes together to create a positive and productive experience for members.”
