BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – EPL, Inc. a core software and technology solutions firm serving credit unions nationwide, is announced the return of a long-time customer, North Alabama Educators Credit Union (NAECU), following a five- year separation. EPL previously provided NAECU’s core software solutions from 1992-2010.
“NAECU is returning to EPL simply because bigger is not always better when it comes to software solutions,” said Greg Olmsted, CEO of NAECU. “Our credit union missed the personal service of EPL. We missed the awareness of what our industry is all about. We missed the EPL team that was committed to us, not just as a customer, but as an industry partner.”
The announcement followed a significant equity investment from Dedagroup NA earlier this year. Dedagroup made the investment to build upon EPL’s value proposition as a quality provider. “This investment in EPL has strengthened its resources and allowed the company to revitalize integral systems while simultaneously raising the bar for software and technology solutions firms across the country,” the company said.
“Our team is thrilled to rejoin NAECU’s efforts to provide better service to its growing member base,” said Wayne Benson, president and CEO of EPL. “During our nearly two-decade long relationship, EPL was able to zero-in on NAECU’s unique software and technology needs while consistently delivering first-rate, personalized service. Our recent capital investment from Dedagroup NA positions us to offer the resources of a much larger firm while still maintaining the level of customer service our clients have come to expect.”
EPL also recently announced a strategic partnership with Payveris, LLC, a next generation online and mobile payments company, to offer a new and easy-to-use integrated bill pay system. This partnership will further strengthen EPL’s core software solution, i-POWER, and create an array of new services through its online banking suite.
“This partnership helps us offer our customers the ability to extend new payment options to their members through a seamless integration into our online banking suite,” said David McCullough, senior product manager at EPL. “Our ultimate goal is to provide technology solutions that differentiate our clients in an increasingly competitive financial services industry. We trust that Payveris will help us provide that added value and improved market position.”
