Savannah Schools FCU Selects CU*South As Core Processor

FAIRHOPE, Ala.– CU*SOUTH announced that Savannah Schools FCU has selected the credit union-owned CUSO as its core processing and member services delivery partner. With a conversion scheduled for early 2016, CU*SOUTH and Savannah Schools FCU (SSFCU) are already busy planning the transition, the company said. It will run CU*South’s CU*Base core solution.

Located in Savannah, Ga., the $28-million Ga., Savannah Schools was founded in 1954 as the Chatham County Teacher Association CU.  It has 3,700 members.

“CU*SOUTH stood out from other core processors,” said Trish Payne, Savannah Schools CEO. “The CU*BASE product is designed to be so user-friendly, not only for our staff, but also in the member facing online banking and mobile applications. The ability to see where our members shop, finance their automobiles and the like will open many targeted marketing avenues for us. The fact that they are a CUSO designed and driven by credit unions was a key factor in our decision to sign with CU*SOUTH. And the value is great when compared to the other core-processors. Where most charge add-on fees for each individual product, most are included in their base price. We are excited to be a part of the CU*SOUTH team!”
