United FCU Joins CO-OP Shared Branching

ST. JOSEPH, Mich.–The $2.6-billion United Federal Credit Union here said it has joined CO-OP Shared Branching. The credit union will add its nine branches to the network.

“Like many credit unions, we’re focused on our members and the community, yet we are also inspired by change,” said Stacy Fillmore, United’s chief lending officer. “We are excited by new opportunities, particularly those that leverage technology to meet our members where they are. CO-OP Shared Branching accomplishes this by giving our members the added convenience of being able to conduct transactions in a network branch while traveling or relocated for extended periods.”

CO-OP Shared Branching includes 5,700 locations throughout the United States to serve members of about 1,800 participating credit unions. 

“Shared branching provides a unique competitive advantage of the credit union industry, enabling members to enter any CO-OP Shared Branching location and transact their business as if they were in the home office of their own credit union,” CO-OP Shared Granching said.

“Providing exceptional service to our members is the reason we come to work each day, and we are always searching for new ways to make their lives easier,” said Fillmore. “The CO-OP Shared Branch network is truly an extension of who we are and the experiences we provide members every day.”

CO-OP noted it provides an online and app-based locatorto easily find CO-OP Shared Branching and CO-OP ATM locations.
