MUSKEGO, Wis. –– To celebrate the 70th anniversary of International Credit Union (ICU) Day on Oct. 18, 2018, Corporate Central Credit Union said it is inviting credit unions across the nation to view and share a video that wishes a happy ICU Day to all credit union employees and members. Through a series of member and staff testimonials, the video shows that credit unions really do make a significant difference in people’s lives, Corporate Central said.
“Credit unions are more than financial institutions,” said Chris Felton, Corporate Central president and CEO. “We are providers of hope, creators of peace-of-mind, teachers of financial well-being, shoulders to lean on, and for some people, literally a lifeline. Credit union employees should be so proud of the work they do. Credit union members should be just as proud for participating in a financial system that is so humanitarian at its core.”
Corporate Central noted WOCCU reports that more than 68,000 credit unions globally serve more than 235-million people in 109 countries. ICU Day was established 70 years ago to create global awareness of the collaborative credit union mission of people helping people.
Corporate Central said it is inviting credit unions to play the video in lobbies, meeting rooms, and lunchrooms during ICU Day celebrations and activities. It can also be posted to websites and shared on social media.
The video was created by Credit Union Story, a Milwaukee-based advertising agency specializing in credit union marketing.
