GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.–Xtend, Inc. has named Matt VandeWater as its new Call Center Manager. VandeWater, a former Account Executive at Xtend’s sister CUSO CU*Answers, heads a team that now includes nearly fifty credit union professionals serving more than sixty clients across the country.
“I am very pleased to have Matt join our Xtend Team, and I look forward to leveraging not only the skills he has learned during his years supporting the credit union industry, but also his passion to take our call center business unit to new heights,” said Xtend President Scott Collins. “His agent team has already embraced his style and his skill set, and his peers on the Management Team have been great about helping him get acclimated to his new role. I am confident that our call center will continue on its growth path, and Matt is a big reason for that confidence.”
The CUSO’s Xtension Call Center executes inbound and outbound calls and web chats for its clients.
Separately, Xtend announced that it and Seattle-based ZipWhip Inc. hosted a series of events to introduce their new partnership and expose Xtend client credit unions to ZipWhip’s flagship two-way cloud texting product. A series of face-to-face and web conference events over a three-day period was attended by more than thirty credit unions.
“We were excited to bring our new partners to Michigan for the first time,” said Collins. “Not only do they have an industry-leading solution for deploying two-way texting for our credit unions, they also exhibit the same collaborative spirit that our CUSO encourages from our strategic partners. Early feedback from those in attendance has been overwhelmingly positive, with a refreshing amount of ‘I didn’t know that was possible’ mixed in. I would be surprised if we didn’t have a large number of new ZipWhip deployments in place by the holidays.”
Mark Johnson, director of credit union sales for ZipWhip, was the key presenter at each of the events. “Mark’s willingness to spend a few days in Michigan with our customer-owners and training our internal team reinforces for me we have selected a great partner with a great solution,” added Collins.
