OSHKOSH, Wis.—Four Wisconsin credit unions have partnered with Chatter Yak!, a marketing and advertising CUSO. The four--Heritage CU, Fort Community CU, Prime Financial CU, and Superior Choice CU three-year contracts for Chatter Yak!’s social media application, Yak Tracker. Yak Tracker integrates with multiple social media channels via application programing interfaces (APIs) that gather social data, increase likes, and generate loan leads through Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.
In 2014, the CUSO said Yak Tracker was able to help CitizensFirst Credit Union in Oshkosh, Wis. generate more than $2 million in consumer loans all through Facebook. The credit union was also able to track and report numbers to show actual return, which before Yak Tracker had never been done before.
