TYSONS, Va.– James Schenck, President and CEO of PenFed Credit Union, was honored at the Canine Companions for Independence’s Hearts and Heroes Gala for his commitment to helping veterans and those with disabilities through establishment of a corporate volunteer program at PenFed in partnership with Canine Companions for Independence.

NOVATO, Calif.–Redwood Credit Union (RCU) hosted a free document shredding event at Sutter Novato Community Hospital to which approximately  700 local residents brought old financial documents and other confidential paperwork—33,500 pounds in total—to be shredded by Shred-IT, which provided on-site shredding trucks for the credit union’s annual Shred-a-Thon event.

NEW YORK CITY– Municipal Credit Union (MCU) has awarded $71,000 in scholarships to college-bound graduating high school seniors: nine memorial scholarship grants of $5,000 each and 13 grants of $2,000 each.
