DELRAY BEACH, Fla.–IBM Southeast Employees Credit Union is celebrating its 50thanniversary throughout 2019. The credit union said each month one IBMSECU branch in Florida and another in Georgia will be featured, while a grand prize 1969 Ford Mustang will be given away.
IBMSECU was founded in 1969 by five IBM employees who each pitched in a quarter. Today, the credit union has more than $1 billion in assets and are more than 85,000 members.
At the first branch celebration in Jasper, Ga., IBMSECU will offer complimentary Chick-fil-A catering. In addition, members can write why they chose IBMSECU on a cut-out quarter and, in exchange will receive their 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coin at the branch history celebration day. Members can also enter into a drawing for the 1969 Ford Mustang autographed by golf legend Lee Trevino.
In 2009, CMAR Credit Union merged with our credit union, bringing us our Jasper Branch. The branch serves employees from Pickens County, Pickens County School System, and the local marble quarries.
