EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Two leaders at Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union earned spots in the "20 Under 40" competition sponsored by Tri-State Business Journal.
Tami Tenbarge, Director of Sales and Employee Development, and Lance Kollker, Business Development Officer, comprised 10% of the 2018 Class that was honored at a program on September 13 at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. Independent judges determine the winners in the competition by considering work accomplishments, support of non-profit efforts, and community leadership. Nominees must be under the age of 40, the CU said.
Tenbarge began her career as a part-time teller at ETFCU and worked her way up to her current position, where she is responsible for making sure that 500-plus employees receive essential training, including leadership development. She also creates sales contests and incentives for all of our branches and sales people, the CU said.
"Even with a busy family life with her daughters, 11-year-old Madison and 4-year-old Taylor, Tenbarge volunteers with the Dream Center and Uncharted, served as ETFCU’s champion in a United Way campaign that this year increased employee giving from $12,000 to $45,000, and led an effort that resulted in $78,000 of employee pledges to completely fund an upcoming Habitat House build. She is a member of Habitat’s 500th Build committee, and an inspirational song she wrote, 'Build Your Dreams,' will be performed by a 500-voice choir as part of the community celebration of the milestone. She is a worship leader at One Life East, helps organize the Women’s Conference, and works with children in the church," the CU said.
Kollker joined ETFCU seven years ago, while still a student at the University of Southern Indiana. He currently is an Ignite participant and the Vice President of the Southwestern Chapter of the Indiana Credit Union League. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Youth First, and past co-chair of the Youth First Passport to Adventure auction raising over $300,000 for at-risk youth in just 2 years’ time. He leads the Hard Hats & High Heels event each year that raises money for the Millennial Build for Habitat for Humanity. As a Cluster host with JobSpark Evansville, he directs part of a 2-day event in which 7,000 students explore future career possibilities. The Business, Communication, and Sales cluster unites 12 partners from across a plethora of industries to show the students that business careers have a wide variety of options," the CU said.
