SCHERERVILLE, Ind.– Advance Financial Federal Credit Union is celebrating its 85th anniversary.
On Oct. 27, 1937, the credit union was chartered by a small group of steel workers. Today it is one of only 16% of credit unions begun in 1937 that is still in operation, it said.
“Having received consumer recognition as The Best Credit Union in the Region for the past three years, it’s obvious that Advance Financial is continuing to provide outstanding products and services to its members and the community,” the credit union stated.
