BROWNSTOWN, Mich.–Samuel Kane of Advantage One Credit Union was chosen as the grand prize winner of the Michigan Credit Union League Legislative Action Fund Grand Raffle. A total of seven prizes were awarded to members of different Michigan credit unions, with the grand prize being $20,000 cash.
Kane said he was very excited to get the call that he had won and plans to keep the majority of the money in his savings for future use.
Head Teller, Emma Compton, was the recipient of $500 for selling the winning ticket.
The Grand Raffle is one of the credit union industry’s largest fundraising activities, with proceeds benefitting the MCUL Federal PAC advocacy efforts and the potential to raise upwards of $325,000. Tickets typically go on sale at the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates Governmental Affairs Conference in the spring and the drawing is held in November.
