ST. PAUL, Minn. – Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union President/CEO Dave Larson was recently listed in the Minnesota 500 2018 ranking of “The Most Powerful Business Leaders in Minnesota.” The list features 60 separate categories, from sports to education, healthcare to government.
Larson was featured in the Banking & Finance category, along with other leaders from banks and credit unions around the state. Individuals included in the Minnesota 500 ranking were selected from an initial group of more than 7,000 executives, the CU said. Finalists were selected following research and due diligence, considering criteria such as:
• the impact each executive has had/is having on their industry as a whole (both in current and prior roles);• the success and impact the company itself has had/is having under his/her leadership; • special awards or accolades both in the executives’ professional and/or personal lives; and • participation in community/philanthropic endeavors, position on other boards... “Larson’s responsibilities include managing the company’s operations, continuously looking for areas of improvement, creating and maintaining a culture that aligns with the needs of its members, and providing a work environment conducive to open communication and personal and professional development,” said the Minnesota 500 profile, according to the CU. “This sincere care for Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union’s employees, members and the communities they serve is what helped catapult the organization to elite status, as Forbes ranked it in among the top in Minnesota’s 2018 Best-In-State Banks and Credit Unions.
