ST. PAUL, Minn.– Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union has opened a new location in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood, an area that was previously without a credit union.
Located in the heart of Midway at 1315 University Avenue West, St. Paul, the new branch will provide the surrounding community with much-needed banking options, the credit union said.
According to Affinity Plus, the St. Paul-Midway location will bring area residents convenient access to the credit union’s full suite of banking services and member-centric programs. The St. Paul-Midway branch’s employees can help with services including account openings, budgeting and financial education, and are all bilingual in Spanish or Tagalog.
The first 50 members helped in the new branch will receive a gift bag.
“As a community-focused financial institution, we are committed to bringing exceptional financial resources to people in our community, especially those who don’t have a bank account or are relying on alternative products outside of the traditional banking system,” said Amber Shanley, director of branch services at Affinity Plus. “The Midway neighborhood has lacked banking options, so we’re really excited to connect with the members of this community and look forward to removing barriers and providing access to high-quality financial services.”
