BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas–Aggieland Credit Union has made a $10,000 donation to Voices of Children of Brazos Valley.
The credit union, which said it is a long-time supporter of VFC, presented a check to Amy Faulkner, executive director of VFC, during the Texas A&M-Georgia baseball game.
The game marked the sixth annual Go to Bat for CASA night in which Aggieland Credit Union has donated money to VFC with the final amount based on the performance of the Aggie baseball team.
VFC trains and provides Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to represent children in cases of abuse and neglect. In 2023, VFC served nearly 300 children within a five-county region (Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, and Leon counties).
“We are so grateful for Aggieland Credit Union,” said Faulkner. “The credit union’s support is integral to funding our work and the work of our CASA volunteers.”
Last year, CASA volunteers logged more than 7,400 hours of service and spent more than 640 hours of time in court proceedings advocating for children.
Added Faulkner, “Sixty percent of our budget comes from community and individual supporters. Without the support of Aggieland Credit Union and others we would not be able to handle our growing number of cases.”

“There is no greater cause than helping children, especially those in tough circumstances,” said Jason McPhee, AVP Strategic Partnerships and University Relations at Aggieland Credit Union. “Together with the Aggie baseball team we are making a difference in the future of many children.”
