WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.– Allegacy’s Darrin Lons was awarded Financial Pathways of the Piedmont’s Financial Health First Responder Award.
The event recognized eight individuals who have gone above and beyond to help others
improve their financial health and overall wellbeing. Lons was selected as a finalist for this
year’s award based on his hands-on approach to helping members.
“Few people would consider a foreclosure officer worthy of the title financial health first
responder,” said AVP of Account Management Services, Katie Clendenen, “but Darrin goes out
of his way to build relationships with members facing foreclosure. He makes house calls to
better understand their situation, providing guidance and attainable options for getting back on
their feet and staying in their home.”
Lons has served as Allegacy’s foreclosure officer for 15 years and held numerous roles throughout his career including insurance agent, mortgage loan
underwriter, and financial advisor.
