Allied FCU Staff Raise Funds

ARLINGTON, Texas–Allied Federal Credit Union employees donated $380 to assist SafeHaven of Tarrant County.

SafeHaven of Tarrant County helps domestic abuse victims escape violent situations and empowers them to leave abusive relationships. Women can call SafeHaven, stay in subsidized housing or even receive legal assistance to achieve these goals. Credit union staff chose to support the shelter as part of Allied’s Casual for a Cause program.

“While we often deal with helping others conquer financial insecurity, SafeHaven has the much more critical task of helping women escape physical violence and abuse,” said Sarah Ramos, AVP of experience at Allied FCU. “We’re proud to support SafeHaven in their mission to empower these women, and we hope our donation leads to more women finding independence from their abusers.”

Casual for a Cause is one of Allied FCU’s community outreach programs. Employees pay money to wear casual dress at work. That money gets donated to a different cause every month. Allied FCU’s employee committee chose SafeHaven of Tarrant County as September’s cause, because they share a common goal of empowering people to live secure lives.
