ARLINGTON/MANSFIELD, Texas– Allied Federal Credit Union employees donated $250 through their Casual for a Cause program, and employees and members donated pet supplies to City of Arlington Animal Services and City of Mansfield Animal Care and Control for Animal Care and Control appreciation week.
Casual for a Cause is a monthly initiative which supports a different local cause each month. Employees pay to dress casually at work, and the money raised gets donated to the cause of the month. the cause is selected by an employee-based committee, which selected animal care services in recognition of National Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, the CU said.
“We are animal lovers at Allied FCU, and the thought of innocent animals being uncared for in our communities is heartbreaking," said Sarah Ramos, Allied Credit Union's AVP of experience. “Animal shelters help prevent animal cruelty, keep helpless animals off our city streets and provide animals with the basic necessities we humans sometimes take for granted, like food, water and shelter.”
