ARLINGTON, Texas – Allied Federal Credit Union donated 138 new toys to Marine Toys for Tots, helping the organization deliver hope to less fortunate children for the holidays. The new, unwrapped toys were donated by employees and members at all three branch locations.
Each week, Allied FCU employees can pay money to dress casual throughout the week. That money goes to a different cause each month, which is selected by an employee committee. They raised more than $300 in December. Members donated an additional $127. All of that Money donated to Marine Toys for Tots.
“It makes my heart happy to know we were able to do this for Marine Toys for Tots,” said Allied FCU CEO Tonia Clark. “My husband comes from a family of Marines, and Toys for Tots has always been a big part of the Clark family Christmas. I am so glad our credit union was able to join in our family tradition and support such a worthwhile cause.”
In 2021, the Casual for a Cause program donated more than $2,300 to local non-profits.
