RIVERDALE, Utah–With a strong commitment to recognizing youth and supporting athletic programs in the community, America First Credit Union held its annual high school scholarship banquet to honor students for academic and student athlete achievements. In conjunction with the KJZZ Thursday Night Lights sponsorship, the third annual event recognized eight students and each was presented with a $500 check and honorary plaque.
Winners of the scholarship were selected from various high schools throughout the state of Utah. To qualify, students must excel in high honor roll in academics, be involved in a sport and participate in an extracurricular activity. The High School Scholarship program is held in partnership with KJZZ Channel 14 and supports outstanding student athletes, while providing the community of viewers the finest in high school sports.
