OGDEN, Utah–Inspired to help women and children in the Utah community, the home loan group at America First Credit Union held a diaper drive for local organization, Your Community Connection (YCC), as part of its Greater Good program.
America First employees filled three trucks with diapers, baby wipes, clothing and other materials and delivered them to YCC to provide essential baby items to mothers and babies in need. The initiative was part of the credit union’s focus on health and human services for first quarter of 2016.
The mission of Your Community Connection is to provide services to support and enhance the quality of life for all women, children and families. Your Community Connection provides vital community services to families and individuals at risk in Northern Utah. YCC is a safe place for victims of violence, homelessness, and poverty to recover and obtain stability.
In keeping with the credit union philosophy of people helping people, The Greater Good program offers a planned, managed framework with the goal of motivating and enabling employees to effectively volunteer under the leadership of America First. Quarterly activities are focused on specific areas of need and benefit a nonprofit organization, school, or municipality.
