GLENDORA, Calif.— America's Christian Credit Union held its 58th Annual Meeting at its headquarters here. Credit union members, staff, board of directors and Supervisory Committee were in attendance to commemorate another successful year, present the 2015 financials and announce additional changes to ACCU leadership.
There was a special dedication by ACCU President/CEO Mendell L. Thompson to honor Chairman, Norm Sauvé, who completed his term this year. Norm served on the ACCU Board of Directors since 1998, and served as Chairman since 2013. Norm, along with his wife, Karen, was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a crystal award. Mr. Thompson stated, "We thank Norm for his Godly and dedicated leadership. We will miss him but know he will continue to pray over our organization and employees, as he always has."
Filling the Board Chairman position is Rev. Jerry Ferguson and filling the Vice Chairman position is Dr. Kevin Mannoia. Other changes in ACCU leadership included the election of Mrs. Sylvia Nash and Mr. David Morse to the Board of Directors and the election of Rev. Steven Holly and Dr. Adele Harrison to the Supervisory Committee.
Norm Sauvé and the ACCU Board of Directors recognized Mendell Thompson for his 30 years of leadership as President/CEO of America's Christian Credit Union. Mendell has been an example of faithful and dedicated leadership since the start and continually lives out the mission of ACCU: To Reach, Serve, and Teach. Mendell Thompson, along with his wife, Reanna, were presented with a bouquet of flowers and a plaque honoring his 30 years.
ACCU awarded the 2015 Employee of the Year to Corporate Loan Supervisor, Debbie Long. Mr. Thompson presented Debbie with a trophy, plaque, certificate, and congratulatory flowers. Debbie Long, commended for her "service-over-self" work ethic, has been with the credit union for over five years.
