JACKSON, Mich.–American 1 Credit Union has been awarded Southeast Michigan’s Best Credit Union by MLive’s 2021 Michigan Best Reader’s Choice Awards. The Southeast region for the competition included Detroit, Ann Arbor, Jackson, and Lansing.
There were two phases in the contest, the credit union said. First, readers picked their favorite places within various categories, such as their favorite restaurants, pet stores, and campsites. Second, the top nominees moved to the voting phase.
“The recognition this award provides means a lot to everyone at American 1 Credit Union,” said Martha Fuerstenau, president/CEO. “Thank you to our members for taking the time to nominate and vote for us. At American 1, we strive to always put our members first by living out our purpose statement, which is to provide financial wellness through personal everyday banking. MLive said the project was created to call attention to businesses within communities that have endured and to honor their “innovation and resilience.”
