EAST HARTFORD, Conn.– American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) said it has continued their longtime support of financial and business education, as well as their partnership with nearby Goodwin University, by awarding the 2022 American Eagle Scholarship to Anel Smajlovis.
Smajlovis, a New Britain resident currently enrolled at Goodwin, is in the process of earning a degree in business administration.
“We are very pleased to present this year’s scholarship to Anel,” said President and CEO Howard Brady. “He has worked hard—as evidenced by his 4.0 GPA—and his determination to advance his education, career and family made him an easy selection for this annual honor. The American Eagle team hopes this well-earned financial assistance will help him to one day realize his dream of becoming a business leader in our community.”
The American Eagle Scholarship was established in 2013 to provide financial support to a student enrolled in a Goodwin University Business Administration degree program who demonstrates outstanding academic merit and financial need.
