SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine- Atlantic Federal Credit Union Foundation has made a $7,080 donation to the Maine Credit Union League's Campaign for Ending Hunger in Maine.
The donation is the result of a commitment to donate $10 for every run that the Portland Sea Dogs scored this season. The Portland Sea Dogs scored 708 runs, the third most in the Eastern League.
“Cheering on our Sea Dogs while simultaneously supporting a cause as crucial as ending hunger is truly a home run scenario,” said Chris McGorrill, president of the board for the Atlantic FCU Foundation. “The Atlantic Foundation appreciates the opportunity to blend the excitement of baseball with the commitment to make a difference in our community. Thank you and congratulations to the players for an incredible season.”
