GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--AuditLink, the audit and compliance division of cooperative CUSO CU*Answers, recently announced that it has hired Marvin Johnson as its new assistant manager. Johnson will assist VP Jim Vilker in managing the team of compliance experts in delivering specialized services that enable credit unions to meet regulatory guidelines pertaining to policies, procedures, member disclosures, and mitigating the risks associated with running a financial institution, the CUSO said.
Johnson began his career in public accounting and over the next 11 years served in various audit and risk management capacities. Most of that time was spent at a large regional bank and a smaller savings and loan, both headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. He has experience with SOX compliance, vendor management, AML/BSA and OFAC controls testing, credit underwriting reviews and portfolio monitoring, operational risk assessments in support of enterprise risk management, access control and various other processes. He also spent time as an internal auditor with a manufacturing company, the CUSO said.
