AUSTIN, Texas–Austin Telco Federal Credit Union held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to reveal two new murals and marks the grand opening of the Austin Telco Terrace at Q2 Stadium.
The Austin Telco Terrace includes nearly 1,700 premium seats and is in the 300-level concourse on the west side of Q2 Stadium. The murals are located on the North and South ends of the terrace.
ATFCU said each mural and concept was created by local Austin artists. The first mural, created by Avery Houser Orendorf, welcomes guests to the Austin Telco Terrace and serves as a way finder. The second mural, created by artist Luis Angulo (Uloang), represents the similar values aligned between Austin Telco Federal Credit Union and Austin FC.
“The concept of this mural is to integrate the message and mission of Austin Telco into the artwork through imagery while at the same time capturing the passion and love the fans have for Austin FC,” said Angulo. “The design depicts a group of people, different ages, genders, and races embracing each other as they watch their favorite team; Austin FC. The embrace symbolizes community, supporting each other and coming together for a common purpose. The shirts each person is wearing reflects their passion for the team and also cleverly integrates Austin Telco’s company logo and messaging into the design.”
