COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Aventa Credit Union recently named Shannon Watkins AVP of lending.
She previously held the position of consumer lending manager.
In her new role, Watkins will manage the daily functions and operations of the credit union’s lending departments. She will also support the senior vice president of lending in the management of strategic planning, development of the credit union lending policies, procedures and lending goals of the credit union, Aventa said.
Prior to coming to Aventa, Watkins worked for UMB Bank in Colorado Springs as their client relationship manager and worked for five years at Meritrust Credit Union in Kansas as their branch manager and as their director of market development. Watkins holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Troy University in Alabama.
