VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.– As part of its employee-led Denim for Dollars program, employees of Beach Municipal FCU donated their quarterly fundraising to the Virginia Beach SPCA and Equi-Kids.
Denim for Dollars is a staff-led fundraising effort that allows employees to wear jeans by donating a minimum amount each city payday. Employees can choose to support one of two causes: Social Outreach or Animal Wellness. The funds are then donated quarterly to different organizations within our community.
"We are grateful for the generous support of Beach Municipal FCU employees.” said Danielle Nance, chief advancement officer of the Virginia Beach SPCA. “As a nonprofit, we depend on the generosity of our community to provide homeless pets with a temporary home, medical care and most importantly a second chance. “
“We are grateful to the team at Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union who selected Equi-Kids as their charity of choice. Their donation will support the equine-assisted programs found at Equi-Kids that positively impact children and adults with special abilities, active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders,” said Beth Yurkovac-Hornby, executive director. “Equi-Kids would not be possible without the support from our community, and we are glad to have the team at Beach Municipal Federal Credit Union as part of our family."
