MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bellwether Community Credit Union has been named to Business NH Magazine’s “Best Companies to Work For in NH” list for 2015, and is honored to be listed among the Top 5 this time around.
The annual competition, run by Business NH Magazine and NH Businesses for Social Responsibility, r cognizes businesses that go out of their way to create highly engaged workplaces for their employees. BCCU to the overall list each year consecutively since 2012.
The “Best Companies to Work For” competition began 18 years ago, and was revamped in 2015 to focus more closely on how a range of best practices are viewed by company employees. One aspect of entry required that 50% or more of a company’s workforce were willing to complete an online employee engagement survey. Those surveys, along with one given to the employer regarding benefits and workplace practices, were used when evaluating and compiling the overall list of 18 companies they felt exceeded the bar of excellence.
Engaging employees and encouraging them to share ideas are among the many ways Bellwether stands out, according to the magazine. Additionally, an on-site gym, various employee reward and recognition programs, flexible scheduling options, and an all-encompassing focus on continuous improvement make Bellwether a desirable place of employment.
