WOODBRIDGE, Va. Belvoir Federal Credit Union employees donated over $2,600 to help others in need this holiday season.
The employees of Belvoir Federal fulfilled their annual tradition of donating funds, purchasing gifts, and delivering gifts to the adopted families in need this season.
The credit unions said the generous donations made by credit union employees through dress down weeks and additional donations enabled Belvoir Federal to assist three military families from the Ft. Belvoir Military Installation. In all, Belvoir Federal employees provided 12 children with shoes, clothing, undergarments, and a few toys for the holidays.
One family was in need of a computer for the children to complete their school work, so Belvoir Federal’s IT Department donated their time and efforts to build a computer for them from the credit union’s reprocessed computer parts. The credit union was then able to present the children with a functioning computer that would assist them with their education.
