KATY, Texas--Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union has named James Fletcher vice president of information technology.

Fletcher comes to Brazos Valley Schools from CU*SOUTH in Fairhope, Ala., where he served as vice president, information technology. Fletcher was responsible for launching and managing the new business unit and providing a suite of managed technology services to credit unions. While at CU*SOUTH, Fletcher independently secured two contracts to supply CNS services for credit unions with an estimated value of $24,000 per contract and implemented the technology within six months, the CU said.
Prior to working at CU*SOUTH, Fletcher was the vice president, information technology, at Day Air Credit Union in Kettering, Ohio, where he had direct oversight of all IT operations, systems, and technical staff. Fletcher administered $600,000 to $1 million in capital, maintenance, and human resources budgets.
