MASON CITY, Iowa–CENT Credit Union reported its annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors proved very successful this year, with more than 700 meals served. CENT, along with sponsors Financial Freedom Controls, Cozy Van, Knights of Columbus, and D&D Signs sponsored the event this year, giving seniors a chance to have a hot meal and fellowship on a cold day.
Several volunteers from the community helped make sure this event was a success, including seven students and two teachers from Mason City High School’s iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates) class, who each spent more than three hours serving guests, bussing tables, and visiting with seniors who attended.
