SRATFORD, Conn.—The Stratford office of Sikorsky Credit Union recently presented 300 backpacks to the Sterling House Community Center.
The presentation was made by Branch Manager Nancy Meszaros,
The backpacks are being used for the Sterling House day camp program this summer. The camp is celebrating its 75 anniversary this year. The credit union has donated backpacks to the program in each of the past three years.
Over the past year, Sikorsky Credit Union has partnered in other Sterling House activities, including sponsoring a Sterling House youth basketball team and providing gifts for children in need during the holiday season. Amanda Meeson, executive director of Sterling House, was grateful for the donation.
“Thank you to Sikorsky Credit Union for their generous donation of 300 back packs for our annual summer camp! Every single Sterling House camper sports your ‘Live Large and in Charge’ backpack each summer as they navigate their daily activities from the pool to lunch to arts and crafts to sports,” Meeson said.
Sikorsky’s Meszaros added: “It is wonderful to have something to give the kids of Stratford that will be remembered not only throughout the summer, but beyond.”
