SAN DIEGO–Cabrillo Credit Union said it has recently completed a transformation of its Chula Vista branch, located in the Terra Nova Plaza. The branch space was completely remodeled to create an open floorplan that is both functional and inviting. New Teller Pods were installed, giving staff and members the opportunity to have more natural interactions, as compared to a traditional Teller line experience, the credit union said.
“When entering the branch, the first thing you notice is the open layout and bold use of Cabrillo’s branding colors,” according to the credit union. “Although the branch footprint was reduced by almost 30%, to eliminate wasted space, many members have commented that the remodeled branch actually looks much larger.”
The remodeled branch features an open seating area, a fully stocked beverage bar, (including a self-service single cup coffee machine and a refrigerator stocked with water). A photo collage and large digital displays line the walls.
“We are very excited about the branch transformation. During my 37-year tenure as CEO, it has been my dream to transform our branches to provide members and staff the opportunity to interact in a more comfortable, yet professional manner. I’ve always wanted to reimagine things from the ground up, using the latest technology. That’s what we did with our Chula Vista branch,” said Robin Lentz, Cabrillo Credit Union’s CEO, who is retiring at the end of March.
