SAN DIEGO–Cabrillo Credit Union has donated $10,000 to the Battle of the Badges benefiting the Children's Youth Athletic Center (CYAC).
The event will take place aboard the historic USS Midway and will see law enforcement officers from various agencies competing in a voluntary match amongst each other.
The Battle of the Badges has become an annual tradition in San Diego, bringing together law enforcement professionals who willingly participate in friendly competitions to raise funds for CYAC. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through sports, providing them opportunities for growth, personal development, and fostering a sense of community.
Cabrillo CU said its donation demonstrates its commitment to supporting local initiatives that positively impact the lives of children and families in the community. By supporting CYAC and the Battle of the Badges, the credit union aims to encourage healthy competition, camaraderie, and the spirit of giving back among law enforcement officers.
