ST. PAUL, Minn. – Using a grant from the Minnesota CU Foundation, Catholic United Financial Credit Union has been providing financial education opportunities in the community, including through local churches.
“Financial crimes aimed at seniors happen all too often,” said Terri Maloney, president and CEO of Catholic United Financial. “Those of us who work in the financial industry need to be aware of the warning signs and be ready to help educate, protect and advocate for our members.” At education events held in Collegeville and St. Cloud, Maloney has also encouraged additional education for front-line employees at banks and credit unions – specifically training staff to spot fraudulent activity and empowering them to help stop it.
