OMAHA, Neb – Centris Federal Credit Union has awarded 10 $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors across Nebraska and Iowa through its 2023 Scholarship Program.
The winners include four credit union members and six credit union employee’s graduating seniors.
To be eligible for the program, students must 1) be a high school senior who lives in Nebraska or Iowa and 2) be the primary account owner on a Centris account for at least a year prior to applying for the scholarship.
The winners were selected based on their responses to two essay questions that focused on the credit union philosophy and financial health.
The annual Centris Scholarship Program is in its 12th year.
“We’re honored to be able to help these students prepare for the next phase of their lives,” said Dawn Gonzales, vice president of community relations at Centris. “The financial health of our members is our priority so they can pursue their individual dreams and enrich the communities they call home.”
