VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.– To provide life-changing experiences thatbring joy, hope, and smiles to children facing medical hardship or illness, Chartway FCU said its We Promise Foundation hosted several fundraisers in 2021.
Thanks to its 5th Annual Putting for Promises Golf Tournament, 22ndAnnual Charity Golf Classic, and other campaigns, the credit union said it was able to approve $670,000 in charitable grants to the following non-profits in both its Virginia and Utah markets that shareits mission.
“At Chartway, we value making a meaningful impact in thecommunities we serve because people and the places they live are connected, and they thrive together,” said Wayne Foshay, chair of Chartway’s We Promise Foundation. “Giving back to our communities is a social responsibility that we take very seriously, which is why we sponsor events, fund programs, and raise money through Chartway’s We Promise Foundation, allowing us to partnerwith companion charities, sponsors, and contributors to provide thefinancial support needed to make dreams and wishes come to life forchildren facing medical challenges.”
Since 1999, Chartway’s We Promise Foundation has raised morethan $13 million.
