MADISON, Wis.–At the 2018 CUNA Marketing and Business Development Certification Schools, 31 credit union professionals earned the Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive designation and 66 earned the Credit Union Business Development Professional designation.
“I am often asked what my ‘secret’ is when it comes to our success in marketing at our credit union and my response is attending this school,” said Chelsea Oliver, marketing specialist at Corry FCU. “I love the sessions, networking, travel experience and the speakers. You're not going to find a better program to invest your marketing dollars into.”
CUNA said each school offers its own designation, signifying the different skills and focus required to earn them.
The Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation distinguishes marketing professionals with a depth of understanding in topics that include strategic marketing, building a relevant brand experience, and market research.
The Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation can be earned by professionals who demonstrate their mastery of concepts that include engaging internal stakeholders, business development strategy, and determining target markets
