RALEIGH, N.C.--Coastal CU's Priscilla Awkard has been elected President of the Southern Regional Chapter of the African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC).
She has been active in AACUC since 2017.
“This is a great opportunity for Priscilla, who always represents Coastal well and does a great job of championing 'welcoming diversity' as one of our core values,” said Coastal’s President and CEO, Chuck Purvis. “Her energy and dedication are unmatched, and I know she will be an awesome resource for AACUC.”
Awkard is Coastal’s VP, Teller Center and has been with the credit union since 2011. She also serves on the board of directors of the Coastal Credit Union Foundation, and has been instrumental in planning the foundation’s Power of Sharing gala for the past three years, the CU said.
