RALEIGH, N.C. – Coastal Federal Credit Union has named Steve Morgan as its new Vice President, Controller.
Mr. Morgan oversees and is responsible for the accounting operations of the credit union while developing the talent in his charge. He also serves as an integral part of the financial leadership of the organization working with the CFO, Asset/Liability Committee, and his peers across the credit union. Mr. Morgan brings to Coastal 12+ years of experience in the banking industry, having begun his career as the Accounting Manager for South Central Bank of Barren County in Glasgow, Kentucky. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, he spent many years in high-level managerial roles at such institutions as Georgia State Bank and, most recently, CertusBank. While at CertusBank, his role was that of Senior Vice President, Director of Accounting Information Systems, sharing time between their Carrollton, Georgia office and their Corporate Headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina.
