RALEIGH, N.C.—Coastal Federal Credit Union announce the addition Mark Cough, vice president, finance as well as the promotion of Brandon McAdams, vice president, marketing and product development.
Cough is responsible for the execution of investment, borrowing, liquidity/cash management, and hedging strategies for the credit union. In addition, he also assists in deposit product pricing as well as performs oversight and monitoring for loan pricing, asset sales, and participations. His other responsibilities include but are not limited to: support for budgeting, asset liability management, financial analysis, and long-term capital forecasting.
Cough has 17 years in the industry having most recently served as a senior interest rate risk advisor. He received his undergrad degree at Baylor University and his MBA in finance at the University of North Texas.
McAdams is responsible for leading, managing, and directing all marketing and communication for Coastal, ensuring that all marketing efforts contribute to Coastal’s growth and revenue goals. He is also responsible for developing new products to help further the cooperative, especially as it relates to cards and digital payments. Additionally, he manages and leads all major projects and campaigns pertaining to marketing.
In his eleven years of experience in the financial industry, McAdams has served as director of lending products, director of business transformation, and most recently as consumer lending product development manager for Coastal. He is also the co-founder of cuaware, a council within the NCCUL that hosts networking events for like-minded credit union professionals.
McAdams received his masters degree in public administration at North Carolina State University and his undergrad degree at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a Credit Union Developmental Educator (CUDE).
