Columbia CU Announces 4 Promotions

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Columbia Credit Union is proud to announce the recent promotions of four employees to vice president positions. Joe Dunn has been named VP of underwriting; Diane Dunning is VP of lending operations; Jeff McLauchlin is VP of network services; and Kristi Muro is VP of talent.

Dunn is a resident of Camas, WA. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and worked in the mortgage industry for several years before coming to work at Columbia Credit Union. “I love the team atmosphere here at Columbia,” said Dunn. “It is a great feeling coming to work every day knowing that you are not out in the trenches by yourself.”

Joe Dunn began his career at Columbia Credit Union in November 2012 as a mortgage underwriter and was promoted to underwriting department manager in February 2014. He was named vice president of underwriting on August 9, 2017. In this position he manages the underwriting department’s daily activities. He oversees the credit union’s consumer lending policies and all underwriting for mortgage, indirect, small business and consumer lending channels.

Diane Dunning has 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and started working at Columbia Credit Union in April 2010 as a loan operations supervisor. She was named assistant vice president and loan operations manager before being promoted to her current position as vice president of lending operations on March 13, 2017. She is responsible for overseeing accurate and efficient systems and teams for loan onboarding, maintenance and processing for the credit union’s direct and indirect loans, including credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit and real estate secured loans.

Dunning is a longtime resident of Vancouver, WA and a graduate of Prairie High School. She started her banking career as a part-time teller while attending Clark College. She has worked at Columbia Credit Union since 2010. “I enjoy being able to work with a great team of people who are dedicated to providing outstanding service and helping members meet their financial goals,” said Dunning. “Columbia Credit Union has a friendly and fun atmosphere that makes coming to work very enjoyable!”

Jeff McLauchlin is a resident of Salmon Creek, WA. He has more than 17 years’ experience working in the information technology field and began working at Columbia Credit Union in May 2016 as a network architect. In August of 2016 he was named interim manager.

McLauchlin was promoted to Columbia Credit Union’s vice president of network services on August 9, 2017. His responsibilities include managing the information technology department’s infrastructure, server administration and help desk activities. “The thing I like most about working at Columbia Credit Union is the sense of community that goes into all we do, both internal to the credit union and involving the greater community,” said McLauchlin.

Kristi Muro started her career at Columbia Credit Union in June 2013 as a recruitment and employee relations manager. She was promoted to assistant vice president of recruitment and employee relations prior to becoming vice president of talent on July 24, 2017. In her current role she manages the daily activity of the human resources department and is directly involved with recruitment efforts, employee relations and compliance oversight.

Muro is a resident of Camas, WA. She has a bachelor’s degree in human development from Washington State University. When she started working at Columbia Credit Union in 2013, she had almost 15 years of human resource experience. “Columbia has allowed me to be a part of a thriving and dynamic business organization that also demonstrates a consistent commitment to supporting the communities in which we do business,” said Muro. “This level of accountability is perfectly aligned with both my professional and personal values.”
