Columbia CU Names 2 New Executives

VANCOUVER, Wash.–Columbia Credit Union is proud to welcome James Senatore as vice president of Wealth Management effective April 3, 2017. In this position, Senatore will lead the Wealth Management department’s operations and develop non-deposit investment and insurance strategies. He will also serve as the primary contact between the credit union and their broker-dealer, CUSO Financial Services (CFS).

Senatore holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nichols College and a certificate from the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton. He has more than 15 years’ experience working in the financial services industry and most recently served as national sales manager for Brokers Alliance. He also held positions as managing director for Principal Financial Group and senior vice president and division manager with Wells Fargo’s Retail Retirement Group.

“James is a highly-qualified senior manager with extensive skills as a team builder, strategic planner and sales leader,” said Columbia Credit Union President and CEO Steve Kenny. “I am confident that he will be very effective as our vice president of Wealth Management. We are proud to welcome him to Columbia Credit Union.”

Separately, Columbia has named Scott Karn as vice president of Business Lending effective April 17, 2017. In this position, Karn will develop and maintain large business loan relationships and interface with branch staff regarding business lending products and services.

Karn earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Oregon and has worked in financial services for 20 years. He began his career as a construction loan officer at Washington Mutual Savings and Loan and most recently served as vice president and commercial relationship manager at First Federal Savings and Loan in McMinnvillle, Oregon.
