Columbia CU Names 2 People to Lending Team

VANCOUVER, Wash. – In an effort to offer more robust lending services to members and businesses, Columbia Credit Union has promoted Ron Bertolucci as its vice president of retail lending and hired Joe Storm as its vice president of commercial lending.

Ron Bertolucci began working at Columbia Credit Union in March 2014 as vice president manager of business lending and was promoted to vice president of retail lending on Oct. 16, 2017. In his new position Ron will lead production efforts in all direct lending categories. He will manage the Call Center Lending department and lead small business and SBA lending. In addition, he will lead efforts to optimize the credit union’s consumer credit card offering and develop a business credit card product.

Before working at Columbia Credit Union, Bertolucci served as a vice president and commercial banker for Sterling Savings Bank. He also held senior management positions at First Independent Bank and Washington Trust Bank.

Bertolucci is a resident of Portland, Oregon. He graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, has an MBA in business from City University of Seattle, and a bachelor’s degree in finance and pre-law from California State University–Fresno.

On Aug. 21, 2017, Columbia Credit Union welcomed Joe Storm as its new vice president of commercial lending. In his new role, Storm will lead a team dedicated to addressing the growing needs of businesses located throughout Columbia’s footprint including its expansion to Portland. The commercial team offers a full suite of commercial banking services including working capital financing and term loans as well as payables and receivables management. Storm is also responsible for creating and leading a treasury management group that will provide member businesses with a full array of financial services.

Storm has more than 25 years’ experience in the banking industry. Prior to arriving at Columbia Credit Union, he served as a senior vice president and director of professional services at Umpqua Bank where he headed teams in Portland, Vancouver, Seattle and Spokane. During his career, he also held senior leadership positions at Heritage Bank and Bank of the West.

Storm is a resident of Portland. He graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and also studied business management and finance at Portland State University. Storm currently serves on the Portland Business Alliance’s President’s Council and is a board member of St. Stephens Academy. He previously served as a board member for the Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross and was active with the Columbia River Economic Development Council.
