VANCOUVER, Wash.--Columbia Credit Union has named Mark Michaels senior vice president chief information officer.
"As a member of the senior management team, Michaels provides strategic vision and leadership for the credit union’s information systems, technology and network infrastructure and architecture.
Michaels has more than 20 years’ experience working in information technology for the financial services industry. He most recently served as chief technology officer for San Francisco Federal Credit Union. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of information technology at Redwood Credit Union," the CU said.
Michaels has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He serves as an advisor for the CO-OP Financial Services Technology Council and is a member of the CUNA Technology Council.
“Mark is a proven credit union executive leader who drives performance and member satisfaction through the attainment of strategic goals,” said Columbia Credit Union President and CEO Steve Kenny. “With his in-depth knowledge of financial services technology systems and applications, he’ll assist us in making it easier for members to securely bank."
