PLYMOUTH, Mich.-Community Financial Credit Union has appointed Teri Kuehn Chair of its Board of Directors.
Kuehn will lead alongside Tansley Stearns, who has served as president and CEO since 2022, establishing an all-female team at the top level, a rare occurrence in the credit union industry.
"Teri brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and expertise to her new role,” said Stearns. “With her at the helm, CFCU is poised to make an even greater impact, creating joy, and igniting Michiganders’ impossible dreams.”
Kuehn served 26 years as a Certified Public Accountant, working first for Deloitte and later Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. She also taught accounting at colleges in Michigan and Arizona for more than 15 years. During this time, Kuehn has been deeply involved in her community of Northville, founding a local Moms Club, coaching the high school equestrian team, and serving as a Local Coordinator for the city's AARP tax aide site.
“I’m honored to take on a role where my professional experience and passion for community converge,” said Kuehn. “I identify with CFCU’s mission to give back to the community and am excited to dream boldly alongside Tansley as we continue to create joy in our members’ lives.”
