Connex CU Supports Wags 4 Hope

NORTH HAVEN, Conn.– Contributions from visitors to Connex Credit Union’s  North Haven branch during a recent quarter were recently tallied and donated to a local non-profit.  As a part of its philanthropic initiative, ConnexCares, Connex Credit Union’s Coins-for-Change program collected more than $1,300 for Wags 4 Hope.

The Coins-for-Change program charges a 5% fee to members, and a 7% fee to non-members, to use Connex’s coin-cashing machines. Each fiscal quarter, this money is donated to different charitable organizations in the local community, contributing more than $10,000 annually.

“The support we received through this program has been such a wonderful surprise and I am truly thankful to everyone who took the time to contribute,” said Annie Blumenfeld, founder, Wags 4 Hope.  “These funds will benefit shelter and rescue animals in need, and help them find their forever home.”
