SOMERVILLE, Mass--Naveo Credit Union employees dressed up in Halloween costumes to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during their “Costumed for a Cure” event.
Naveo raised more than $300 at its branches in one week, which the credit union then matched. The Costumed for a Cure event has become an annual participation at Naveo, one that members look forward to. In recent years, the event has led to a competition between both branches for collections based on who has the best costume. This year, Naveo’s Cambridge branch staff featured handmade Sesame Street costumes. To boost collections, employees were given the opportunity to trade in their business clothes for jeans the week before Halloween with a donation to the cause.
